TERRACOTTA VILLA
Designing a Modern Tropical Home in Panama
A modern tropical residence created for a family looking to enjoy Panama's climate, natural beauty, and relaxed lifestyle.
Explore the design journey below.

Every Great Home Begins with Understanding the Client
Before drawing the first line, every project starts with a conversation.
For this residence, the goal was clear: create a home that feels open, comfortable, and connected to nature while responding to Panama's tropical climate.
Rather than simply designing a beautiful house, every decision was made to improve the way the owners would live every day.

Protect the home from sun and tropical rain while allowing windows to remain open during light showers.
Designed for Panama
Living in Panama is different from living in colder climates.
That means a home should be designed to take advantage of natural ventilation, protect against heavy rainfall, provide shaded outdoor spaces, and connect the interior with the surrounding landscape.
These principles shaped the entire project.

Designed to encourage natural ventilation and create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.
From Ideas to Reality
One of the most important parts of the process is helping clients visualize their future home before construction begins.
Using detailed 3D models and realistic renderings, every space can be reviewed, refined, and adjusted long before work starts on site.
This helps reduce uncertainty and gives clients confidence in every design decision.

Expand the usable living area and make outdoor spaces comfortable throughout the year.
A Collaborative Process
Many of my clients live outside Panama.
Throughout the project we work together using online meetings, 3D presentations, and regular updates, making it possible to develop every detail regardless of where they live.
Distance should never be an obstacle to creating a well-designed home.
